.net problems

After a successful download, I was looking forward to using this program, only to find that it requires a more up to date version of the .net framework than is on my device. I am running the latest firmware on a T-Mobile MDA Vario (HTC Wizard) PocketPC (Windows Mobile 5).

Author's Response:
You have to install .NET CF SP2 for WM6, also stay tuned for a WM 2003 version as well which is going to be released soon.

Great program

This is my second attempt at syncing Google with my iPAQ. I want to get copy at least some of my appointments from the Lotus Notes program that I have at work on to my PDA, and my IS department does not support any WM5 syncing programs. So I save a little bit of retyping by copying and pasting into my Google calendar in the hopes I could sync my iPAQ with Google The first program I tried was able to connect only intermittently. OggSync worked the first time I tried it and faster (or at least the fact that the interface kept you up to date about the progress made it seem faster). At first, I was having problems with duplicate entries, but I think I can trace that back to the previous program I was using. Since I cleaned up the calendars things have been working wonderfully. I am using the freeware version, since I don't have any use for the features found only in the licensed version. I would say that $30 would be an excellent price for the pro version, but I might pause at $30 every year.

Something is missing

Hi,
I have installed the program to my PDA. When I started the program was complaining about missing pocket outlook component.

I have looked in the forums. A dll is missing. If you could send the dll than I will be able to test/recommend your product.

My PDA is a Windows Mobile 2003/SE. AXIM 30.

Best regards,
Istvan

Author's Response:
Version 2.20 requires that your device have pocket outlook. We are working on the beta hich doesn't have this requirement at http://oggsync.com/beta.

DOUBLE DATES

I have an xda orbit pda phone running windows mobile5
Oggsync installed ok but it is very slow to sync with outlook on my xda. I have actually uninstalled it now as every time i sync I end up with 2 of every appoinntment on my pda which as you can imagine is annoying. Also it misses out entire weeks of appointments on my xda, failing to sync it onto my online google calendar. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!

Author's Response:
Did you contact support@oggsync.com? It sounds like OggSync does not see your appointments for some reason (why it adds events when they are already there and why it doesn't add them to Google). At least that's what it sounds like with your description. I suggest looking at backing up and resetting your PIM.VOL file.

Worked well with IPAQ

It was an easy matter to synchronize my IPAQ calendar with my Google calendar without having to go the Google calendar website. Installation of the software was easy. I appreciate what OggSync is doing for me.
